In this 64th episode of Through the Aftermath, Shawn is joined by Jim "Tank" Dorsey and Faye Murman to talk about a brand new documentary being made that focuses on Tank's life called "Humungus: A Documentary."
The two discuss their travel around the world -- including Australia, Atlanta, New York City, and the California desert -- to follow Tank's life as a top-shelf cosplayer in the post-apocalyptic realm and beyond. The Mad Max filming location stories are particularly interesting, including a surprise meeting with one of the franchise's biggest stars!

As Jonathan takes this episode off for metal jaw replacement surgery (which may or may not be sponsored by the Enclave), Shawn is joined by Steve Cee, creator of the Fallout-themed LARP event known as Nukelanta. We're back already with our promised impressions of Mad Max: Fury Road in the first half of this episode, and some serious discussion about the brand new Fallout 4 announcement trailer in the second half.
Just a warning about the first half: If you haven't seen Fury Road yet and want to avoid spoilers, avoid the section from the 10-minute mark through to the 44-minute mark where we discuss the plot quite extensively.

Mad Max: Fury Road is releasing this week, and Shawn & Jonathan decided it might be fun to talk about some of the lesser-known tidbits from the Mad Max trilogy lore up to this point. Is Fury Road the fourth installment sequentially? Is it a sequel to Beyond Thunderdome? Will there be a Lord of the Flies theme? Will the oil finally be left and will everyone just walk away? Welcome back to this very special episode number 50! In it, we're joined by InXile Entertainment's Brian Fargo and Nathan Long. Brian Fargo is the original founder of Interplay and creator of such classic games as Bard's Tale, Neuromancer, and our favorite: Wasteland. Nathan Long is an author and screenwriter probably most famous for his series of novels based on the Warhammer universe. He's currently the lead writer on Wasteland 2. With the sequel in the works, we figured it would be a great time to sit down with Brian and Nathan and discuss their post-apoc influences and the game itself. Not only that, but Brian also throws down an exclusive for us relating to W2's end-game, or at least Brian's version of an end-game. You know we’ve been waiting a long time for this episode, but the Fallen Earth post-NDA edition is finally here. Shawn and Jonathan talk about their favorite and least favorite parts of this upcoming post-apocalyptic MMO based on a rating system for each category. In this 7th episode of Through the Aftermath, Shawn and Jonathan skip the usual format to catch up on some some emails from the listeners. We chose 20 to read this time, and they vary from book/movie suggestions to a particularly interesting email regarding a certain post-apoc game that was never made… starring Metallica?!? We briefly touch on the news of Masthead Studios (makers of Earthrise) helping out on the new Project V13 Fallout MMO. Throughout the show we mentioned certain links we’d provide, so here they are!

In this 6th episode of Through the Aftermath, it’s all about gaming as we discuss Fallout 3’s newest DLC: The Pitt, as well as Shawn’s impressions of the Game Developer’s Conference last week in San Francisco. Jonathan describes how much fun he’s had with The Pitt, and covers some of the concerns and issues that Xbox 360 players had with the new content when it first launched last week. Shawn talks about the three post-apoc games he saw demos of and interviewed for at GDC: Fallen Earth, Huxley and Earthrise. Plus, at the end of the show, we play highlights from the Earthrise interview, featuring Masthead Studios‘ CEO Atanas Atanasov.
